Web 2.0 Tools

This graphic organizer was created from a website called bubbl.us. It was very easy to use, and you can edit the fonts and the colors of each bubble. It is a great tool to use if you need to create an organized web for classes in school. It also could be used for creating a family tree.

This cartoon was created by a website called toondoo. It is similar to the other website we used to create cartoons, but, in my opinion, it is better because it has more options as to how you can animate the characters. You can change their expressions, you can change their clothes and their facial features.

I edited this google picture of a bird through a website called fotoflexer. You can do a lot of things with your photos like change the coloring, make a poster like effect, add text, sharpen the image, flip the image, adjust the coloring, distort the image, and you can also cut and paste images into other images. It is a lot like Adobe PhotoShop, but it is online.

BigHugeLabs Images

Overall, I liked this web program because the movie posters look very realistic, and the pop art and magazine effects are interesting too. I didn't like how you, on the magazine, could not move the words around (which is why there are words on Jimmy Page's face). In all, though, I loved the way my images turned out. I chose the Mona Lisa image because the painting is one of the most influential and significant pieces of artwork in the world today. I chose Led Zeppelin to be on my magazine cover because I think a lot of people would really like for them to get back together. Also, I chose the movie poster because I think it would be the best movie in the world if they got some of the greatest actors and directors of today and of the past and collaborated in making a movie about the future.

QR Codes Response

I have never really used QR codes, because I do not have a smart phone. However, working at a place that uses FrontFlip (a QR code that allows people to have chance to earn a free appetizer, $3 off a large pizza, etc.) I had seen these codes before. I used qrstuff.com for all of these codes and created each one in a different color. There are songs, recipes, travel links, forums, videos, and articles in my QR codes.

TED: Sue Austin

I thought this video was very interesting because her view on being in a wheelchair is a lot different than the common view. She views her wheelchair not as something debilitating, but as something empowering. The fact that she was able to go deep sea diving was amazing as well.

TED: Candy Chang

I really liked this video because this lady was able to touch the lives and thoughts of people she didn't know in her own community and of people around the world. By creating this chalkboard, she invited people to reflect on their own lives and think about their own ambitions.

Pixton Comic

I wasn't really sure what to do because I have never made a comic before. Pixton, however, made it very easy for me to learn. The website has a lot of options.
